Why we’re loving Crestron XiO Cloud®

As the hybrid working world progresses, we are experiencing an influx of technology into increasingly diverse environments, from differing spaces in the office, to the home and for teams to use on the road. Inevitably this has led to an increasingly complicated management system.

To support the changing needs of the workplace, we have revolutionised our service and support structure, grown the team from five to 25 people and invested in upskilling and training.

The result is that all service and maintenance inquiries are now answered within 30 minutes by an expert and 93% of issues are resolved remotely.

When we launched our new structure to support the hybrid workplace, our goal was to give all employees at customer organisations immediate access to industry experts, focusing on remote troubleshooting and fixing.

To achieve this, we created a Virtual Expert Assist solution, which replaces the traditional first- and second-line structure. The result is one of the most comprehensive sets of checks globally that includes recording where products are located in all meeting rooms. The remote support team can now provide exact details to users, and qualitative Testing Note reports, so engineers input unique, quality data.

Our love for Crestron is like XiO Cloud

One of the platforms that has helped us to do this is Crestron’s XiO Cloud Operations Management Platform. This allows us to manage all devices within a Crestron and Microsoft Teams Rooms™ ecosystem from one comprehensive cloud-based platform.

This cutting-edge service offers a simple and secure platform for managing all Crestron devices and also includes the management of third party devices, which is an extremely unique feature that places Crestron XiO Cloud at the forefront of cloud management.

Why Crestron XiO Cloud?

Remote Room Support

One of the key benefits of Crestron XiO Cloudis its ability to support rooms remotely, removing the need for on-premise analytics to deliver a true remote service to customers.

The platform can troubleshoot and make configuration changes across all managed devices simultaneously, or alternatively per each location, room or individual device.

Additionally, Crestron XiO Cloud allows us to integrate support workflows such as ServiceNow to enable streamlined viewing and management of alerts for an entire estate of workplace technology.

Maintain operational standards

Crestron XiO Cloud helps maintain operational standards by providing a single dashboard to view all device licences and firmware or software versions, as well as monitor device lifecycles.

This enables us to schedule updates, budget and forecast more efficiently and thereby help mitigate any potential risks.

Manage device lifecycles

Whether it's managing individual devices, groups of devices, or all devices at once, Crestron XiO Cloud simplifies the management of device lifecycles.

With the ability to deploy standard room configurations, remotely push firmware and software updates and establish event schedules for turning devices on or off, you will experience an increase in room uptime and also help mitigate risks.

Gain enhanced insights

Crestron XiO Cloud offers cloud analytics by automatically collecting room and device usage data and generating reports on this usage.

Cloud analytics present a fascinating opportunity to consolidate data and turn it into actionable intelligence, by offering a detailed view of your technology for more effective forecasting, planning and budgeting.

How has Crestron XiO Cloud benefitted Project Audio Visual?

When using Crestron XiO Cloud along with the Crestron Flex solutions for Microsoft Teams Rooms and with the help of our fully Crestron-qualified technical team of engineers, a whopping 93% of reported issues are now fixed remotely.

When paired with Crestron’s Flex Care, warranty is extended up to five years and users receive advance replacements and priority including long term aftercare. This proactive approach helps resolve issues before they become problems, meeting delays and frustrations.

With the latest Microsoft Teams Rooms related features, it is now also possible to pull in information through Crestron XiO Cloud, including which Microsoft accounts are signed in, whether the account is idle or in a call and the supported meeting mode without having to remotely view the touch panel from XIO Cloud or access Teams Admin Centre.
