Gemserv is a specialist market design, governance and assurance service provider, offering high-quality, impartial advice to competitive utility and environmental markets.
A significant component of its offering is providing its clients with a state-of-the-art environment to conduct business. When the company moved from its 7,000 square foot office space in Fenchurch Street, London, to larger premises at 8 Fenchurch Place, they were keen to improve the facilities to further enhance its services.
Our recommendations included professional LED screens for all the meeting rooms and Draper 2.4m ceiling-mounted electric projector screens, paired with Optoma VGA and HDMI projectors in some larger rooms. Extron wall panels control the projectors, so there are no trailing cables, and the problems of lost controllers and drained batteries have been permanently eradicated.
Another key part of the solution was using Barco ClickShare wireless presentation devices. These enable multiple people to share their content quickly and easily on the central screen, from a tablet, computer or smartphone, eradicating the compatibility issues people often experience when using meeting rooms that are not their own.
We also installed the Evoko Room Manager in every meeting space. The Evoko room booking system links with Microsoft’s Office Outlook 365, allowing meetings to be booked through the typical calendar application and remains visible to everyone without any additional software required. The status of the room is displayed outside and indicated by a red (in use) or green (available) light, so it is easy to see if it is available without disturbing meetings underway.
Gemserv has six client meeting rooms and five internal staff meeting rooms with state-of-the-art technology that is simple to use. Meetings can be booked via the Evoko Room Manager in advance or at short notice, enabling staff and their clients to benefit from the impressive new facility.
This has streamlined Gemserv’s business operations, making it more efficient than ever before, positively impacting Gemserv’s customers.
